This prayer comes from a sermon preached by Pastor John Piper to his church in early 1985, at the end of the church's 'week in prayer'. At the end of the sermon he challenged the church members to pray this prayer every day throughout 1985 along with him. What a fantastic challenge! After I listened to this sermon I wrote out the prayer on a neon pink post-it and stuck it on the wall next to my laptop. I've since prayed it enough times to memorise it, but I can't say I've prayed it every day. Will you?! PS.
